Six Sentence Sunday.

Welcome back to Six Sentence Sunday :-) I have skipped forward for this week's snippet which is from my current WIP. Vidal's Honor.

“Only someone close to Beaumont could betray him so successfully.”  Juan let the words drop into the nightly silence.

       “What are you saying?”
Vidal reeled away, stupefied by Juan’s implications.  Was he implying Honor had betrayed Dev?  Would she, could she, surely not!

To be betrayed by someone you know and trust... hmm... I'm intrigued.

What's your WIP about? Where are they when this conversation takes place?

Well there's a lot of information there. Vidal as a name sets me up to expect high jinks because of the Marquess of Vidal in Devil's Cub. :) Great expectations now.

Thanks for coming by Karen. The story, and betrayal, starts at Salamanca in 1812. This snippet is several weeks later when hero and heroine are trying to get back to England.

LOL Elin! I'm busted!! I love that book, and while there may not be the same kind of shinanigins in mine, I hope my Vidal comes across as strongly. Thanks for coming by.

:-) Maryellen, if you want to go back there are several snippets of this WIP in Tuesday's Tales, Sweet Saturday Samples as well as Six Sentence Sunday.
Thanks for coming by.

The conflict is well laid out here-- betrayal is powerful as a conflict. Suspected betrayal even more so. Great atmosphere with only six sentences!
